Off the shelf Smart Heating Recommendations

We have a holiday home I am in the process of renovating. Heating is working well but is hacked together with a bunch of Shelly Switches and Home Assistant / Node Red automations etc.

As we’re looking to rent out the property, I’m going to need to replace with something which is a bit more off the shelf and user friendly whilst still allowing me to control and track data through Home Assistant.

My main requirements are:

  • Must be able to communicate through thick stone walls (current system is using WIFI via a bunch of Unifi access points)
  • Would ideally have integrated humidity sensor. I’ve been battling (and mostly winning) against a lot of damp so want to ensure I am still in control. Ideally would not require separate humidity sensors
  • Should be controllable remotely. This is not such a biggy, I have site 2 site VPN between home and this property so pretty much anything which can be accessed via local network should be fine
  • Needs robust Home Assistant integration
  • Needs the ability to have multi zone underfloor heating integration
  • Will need multiple thermostats. I can go wired but would prefer the choice of battery or wired

My boiler is a Viessmann Vitodens 100-w and I currently have a mixture of manual and Shelly Smart TRVs which have proved themselves unreliable, mostly because of the thick stone walls.

I’m leaning towards Drayton Wiser as they seem to hit all the requirements above but wondering if there were other alternatives I should consider which fulfil all of the above? The integrated humidity sensor seems to be the biggest limiting factor
