Official Volvo Integration suddenly stopped working (2025.12.2)

It has been working fine - both official Volvo Integration and HACS Volvo Integration. I got a warning, I think when I upgraded to 2025.12.2 that the HACS Volvo Integration repository was being removed so I in turn deleted that integration given the duplication (I think this was yesterday).

However, today I was told I need to re-authenticate the official Volvo integration - despite it having worked uninterrupted for quite a while, including immediately after deleting the HACS Volvo Integration. When I try to authenticate, I get to the “Sign in with your Volvo ID” page, enter my Volvo username and password but then get an “Oops…an error occurred, Unexpected response Forbidden”, which is on a Nabu Casa page.

For the record, I don’t use Nabu Casa for remote access and actually use Cloudflared.

Any help?

Same here. I have exactly the same symptoms and don’t use Nabu Casa either.

This morning integration worked just fine. I have the same error.

Same problem here, Volvo integration is not allowing sign in and seems to be Nabu related! forcing nabu subs, is a deal breaker, hoping that’s not the case, as a very sad future if HA goes down that route with this and other integrations.

I confirm the issue, version 2025.12.2, re-authorization required. After granting app permissions, I receive the message: Oops… an error occurred
Unexpected response: Forbidden.
In the meantime, I’m running various tests to determine what might be causing this.

Same here but still running 2025.11.2 so seems to be an issue without relation to the latest HA updates?

Hi all, mine stopped working this evening, this morning it was working fine. Any ideas what might be going on?

… I suspect Volvo might have blocked the integration for some reason :frowning:

Also the same here, everything was fine using 11.x of hass core. I also tried to uninstall the integration + updating core to 12.2 and I also get “Unexpected response Forbidden” from nabu.

Same issue here. Removed integration and tried to re-add it back. No luck. Typical Volvo IT Bull crap.

How do we raise this as an issue with the developers of HA core or the integration (unclear to me which is the problem)?

I’m still on 2025.10.4 with a Nabu Casa account, and I’m in the same boat.

Not sure that I’d blame HA yet as Volvo’s tech stack is laughably bad. (I’ve never seen another car where the dashboard needs periodic reboots.)

Me too, but my main suspect is Volvo (they are known for bad software management)

Sucks, previously the thomsaddn Volvo integration in HACS worked fine. How can it go Platinum as an official HA integration and suddenly be that bad?

This was working for me up until this morning and broke again. Still can’t authenticate through nabu casa. Anyone have any updates?

Same problem. I had this also one month ago and then it worked again after a while.

mine worked until this morning, just broke down today. i could authenticate again today, but didn’t check anything. Now it’s broken again.
