Just moved to a new house, and i have this door with an older lock. Its not possible to have a key inside from both sides.
Judging by the shape of the keyhole, it’s going to be difficult to make that smart. Even something like a Nuki, which grips the key on the inside, is going to struggle to handle the shape.
On the plus side, it looks as if it would be quite easy to replace.
Unfortunately it does not seem like nuki fit this lock type. I was also thinking about an external deadbolt like this. The room itself is not critical.
I would replace the whole lock, including cilinder. It’s really easy, remove one or two screws and the handles and slide it out.
The lock is not so expensive.
De pending on which smart lock you opt for, it might include the cilinder.
That lock doesn’t even have cylinder.
For security this is about as valid:
Add e-ink display to make it smart
Hi FantaFreake
What i did was to change the doorlock with this abloy el580 then and control it with a shelly 12v switch
its quite expensive but i did find it on marketplace for around $100
Kind regards
