Old ipad - 'custom element doesn't exist'

Have a dashboard I want to get onto an old ipad mini running ios 12.5.7. Nothing else its used for so I figure a table top energy monitor is a good use for it.

I’m trying both web (safari) and the mobile app and I’m getting the above error ‘custom element doesnlt exist: power-flow-card-plus’ and a big list of text on a red background. the same card is working fine on my personal ipad or my laptop. I’ve tried deleting all cache in the browser but nothing.

Is it possibly related to the age of my ipad? I tried installing the original power flow card and that did seem to render ok - but then oddly the power-flow-card-plus stopped working on my laptop! so i’ve removed the old one now just in case

I have same issue

Same problem here, also running iOS 12.5.7. As well with the Home Assistant app as several browsers.

+1 experiencing same issue here on an old iPad Air

Is there any news on a fix for this, please? I’m using an iPad mini 2.
Thanks

Same issue here on an older iPad mini 2 running 12.5.7 ME824B/A

Any news on a fix please?

I assume nobody ever found a solution?

I just tried resetting my iPad as a last resort - but unfortunately it didn’t help.

Starting from 2023.12 this happens with custom:slider-entity-row on iPad Air 2 (iOS 15.x).

This evening I rolled back to earlier releases, as early as Feb 2023.
But even that doesn’t fix it anymore. Even though those versions definitely worked when I had them installed at the time.
So it seems that something happened a few months ago that cannot be fixed - at least not by me.
It’s really strange.

I have the same issue on 3 different iPad Air 1 iOS 12.5.7.

But I have noticed it can be displayed, because when I run the app kosher.io on free mode and open my url, the page glitches after a couple of seconds when it loads after you switch between apps. All the right graphics is perfectly displayed for a second or two. Then it all reverts back to error message again.

I’m just guessing what the issue can be but it might be like a restriction or block being added and stopping the graphics, like a paywall?

I don’t know if you can downgrade this iPad model still? But if I find I way I at least gonna give that a try, think it’s something in the iPad software who block/restrict all apps from loading it.

Will do some further googling if there’s any braking changes or something in the iOS or other info

On my ipad os 16.7.2 this same problem

Same here. I guess no solution?

still same issue… any news?

So, I gave in/up and simply bought a refurbished up-to-date iPad.
I didn’t want to wait for a fix anymore.

With everything up to and including 2024.4, I had issues with certain elements in my dashboard not being able to load, or needing to be refreshed often because they’d disappear.

Now since 2024.5, I can’t load any of my dashboards whatsoever. Doesn’t matter if I use the app or Safari or chrome. Just get the “failed to load ui elements” or something to that effect.

I’ve since unplugged it but it’s still mounted to my wall. Need to find a new option and a new mount. The old iPad is officially worthless for HA.
