Does anyone know how to get the “old” UI back? My UI has been updated to Lovelace. But for the moment I would like to use the old UI since it will take lots of time redoing things. How do I return to the old UI? I have switched back an forth on the dev-info panel. Re-loaded Hassio, restarted my Raspberry (3B). Also tried to add an empty ui-lovelace.yaml, since the lack of such file showed up as error message when trying to navigate to the “Overview”.
Make sure you delete “the hack” if you added it by any chance to your frontend:
block in configuration.yaml.
I havent added the hack. Have not tried anything with Lovelace, except for the try with adding an emtpy .yaml (quite desperate change, low odds for that to solve any problem…)
The problem did not start with upgrading to 73.1. Yesteday I did lots of stcript changes, and restart/reload stuff. I think the problem started today when I did a change in configuration.yaml. The change itself was succesfull (added LG notify), worked perfect. So my guess is that changing the configuration.yaml triggered something in the background.
click the i icon, on the bottom left of the hamburger menu.
the scroll down a little, to were it says the logs.
you should see some text surrounded by >< saying either
Set lovelace as default page on thie device
or
Remove lovelace as default page on thie device
Thanks, but I have tried that several times already. Last try with a complete reboot of the RPi afterwards. Makes no difference.
Back home again and made a new try. Now it works again. I cannot explain why, the only change is that I added some demo code into the ui-lovelace.yaml. You could close this as “Solved”. Thanks for the support.
I will revert all changes I made during my own try to solve the problem one by one (language back to Swedish, remove the ui-lovelace.yaml), to see if the problem returns.
Thanks!
Jesper
Btw: Are those settings saved as cookies in the browser? Cause I notice that I have Swedish as language on my iPad. English as languager on my MacBook. Both using Safari.
The set default interface one is held per browser.
Not sure if it would be a cookie or part or the web cache.
