Would it be possible to use a Raspberry Pi with Home Assistant and then let 10 students connect to it, each with their own limited account?
In their account, they should have a few devices each, connected to Home Assistant, such as a door sensor, motion detector, and RGBW light.
The idea is to restrict the students’ permissions to their own devices and allow them to only automate those.
Would this be possible, and is it easy to set up or is it quite complicated?
You can restrict users to see some views on the dashboard. So, yes, that is possible. Just make a per user own view panels.
AFAIK: restricted users cannot use the automations dashboard.
