Onkyo receiver doubled output

Hi everyone,

Not sure if anybody here will know about this but I’ve got a display issue with my Onkyo receiver where it’ll double the output at half size side by side with some kind of blue shift. Sometimes it outputs fine but other times it comes to this and don’t really know what the problem is. Tried different cables and devices but all the same. At the moment the signal goes from the Apple TV to the receiver, then through to the TV from a hdmi connection in the wall between the TV and cabinet. I’m suspecting it’s that wall connection that’s the problem as I had no issues when connecting directly to the tv from the receiver

Sounds like wall connection issue

You can try contact cleaner. I used wd40 in past but i read thats bad. That said ive never had contact cleaner work but was successful with wd40 so who knows

What is wall connection ? Ethernet baluns or straight hdmi?

It’s supposed to be a high speed hdmi cable, I’m thinking it may be interference from the metal frame in the wall
