The ghost automation only showed up for me as an error or issues to solve (top of the settings).
The way I fixed was to grep it in .storage directory. Found it and removed from:

  • .storage/core.entity_registry
  • .storage/core.restore_state
  • .storage/repairs.issue_registry

Hope it helps anyone in the process.

The duplicate trick still works - even after all these years. Thank you

Much easier. Just open Tools / YAML section (mostly opened) and select Automations to be reloaded.
