I am trying to use Tenda CP7 IP camera with Home Assistant via ONVIF integration.
Have two problems:
- Video stream is not displayed.
Picture entity card displays video preview images. When I click on it Media player opens but there is no video:
“Error with media stream contents” message is periodically displayed in media player.
Windows “ONVIF Device Manager” application don’t display any video stream too (displaying error NO SIGNAL). The manufacturer’s description of the camera says that it supports the H.265 codec. But “ONVIF Device Manager” application says it is H.264. I suspect that application incorrectly detects codec; in fact, the camera outputs H.265 format. That is why Home Assistant can’t display it. Am I right?
I can only see the video via “RTSP player” windows application. - Camera supports PTZ control and I can rotate it via “ONVIF Device Manager” application.
But I can’t do it in Home Assistant. There is no any target object for ONVIF.PTZ service:
Is it problem with camera PTZ implementation or Home Assistant ONVIF integration?
There is no errors in Home Assistant log related to ONVIF (I set Info log level for it).
PS: there is only 4 entities in camera found by ONVIF integration:
Maybe I can manually add some missed entities to configuration.yaml? But I don’t know which and how…
