Oomi Multisensor 6 - could not save node config options (similar to Aeotec Multisensor 6)

Hi,

I bought 2 new Oomi Multisonsors: http://www.oomi.com/discover/multisensor/

They are the same like “Aeotec Multisensor 6

OpenZWave knows the specification: https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave/blob/master/config/oomi/ft100.xml

but they are recognized as "Oomi Unknown: type=0002, id=0064 (Node:11 Complete)"

they are working fine, but I can’t set any zwave config parameter.

Any idea how I can fix this?

Hi

Funny, I just had the same problem. I have the same problem. I have tried to refresh and heal the node a couple of times, but no solution. What parameters are you planning to set?

Cheers,

JM

great to have another affected user

  • command 5: send Sensor Binary Report CC
  • command 41: threshold change in temperature to induce an automatic report.

these 2 would be helpful.
I think it is not that difficult to fix this in OpenZWave or HA for someone who knows where to start.

cheers

does anyone have an idea? If not, I’ll have to return the devices

Hi again,

It seems like the Oomis are missing configuration files in the github library you are linking to. I have the same problem with the wallmote from Oomi, but I have found a workaround. I have stopped the homeassistant service and then added the missing configuration in the zwcfg_****.xml file. I found the a thread in for the wallmote here Aeotec wallmote quad zw130.

I have the aeotec version of the same sensor and that works fine.

Br,

JM

i have now replaced the config part of my node in zwcfg_***.xml with the new from here: https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave/blob/master/config/oomi/ft100.xml

all in “CommandClass”

after adding the details from “manufacturer_specific.xml” it seems to work now, but I can’t update the “Node config options” this ist the log output.

After setting the parameter “Temperature Reporting Threshold” to “20”, the parameter reverts back to “5121
here’s the log snip: https://pastebin.com/CVvPvTW7

sometimes I can see the following:
"Unhandled Command Class 0x20"
don’t know if that’s related to the issue

I gave up and bought the Aeotec Multisensor 6. This thing works out of the box for now.
Returned the Oomi Multisensor.

Update:

The new Aeotec Multisensor 6 working fine out of the box. Just before I returned the Oomi Sensors I flashed my Aeotec Multisensor 6 with the newest firmware and I thought if they are both the same, why not try to flash the Aeotec Multisensor 6 to the Oomi Multisensor 6.:thinking:

And guess what, flashing the newest Aeotec firmware to the Oomi sensor works fine and after a reset, it appears as a Aeotec Multisensor 6 :sunglasses:

no need to struggle with zwave configs and logs, just flash the device with the current firmware and the Aeotec tool from Aeotec homepage.

Hello @b3m3
Just a quick follow-up: What firmware version did you update to, and do you have the Multisensor(s) powered by USB of battery?

hey, I just used the latest Aeeotec FW that’s available at the time. I’m running my nodes on battery. hone it helps

Thank you for a quick response
