I am having a weird issue with my insteon open and close sensors. It seems like once I open the sensor, it doesnt update HA the status of it at first. If I then close it and open it again it starts to wake up and start responding and giving correct statuses . It will continue to be correct until I let it sit for a while like a few hours; then when I open it again, nothing happens. Status update does not update, alexa doesnt state the status and the my scene wont react to it. All this stuff works after the initial change in physical movement. Any ideas why doesnt work at first then works continuously perfectly? No logs of anything. It can be a sensor that is far away and same happens to a sensor that is right next to the insteon hub.
“note” if I have a scene that triggers outlets or lights, they work everytime. So I would assume that would rule out some stuff I would think.
I have the exact same problem, have been trying to figure it for months, the only thing that works is reset the Insteon Hub, but the problem comes back in a few hours.
I compared the Insteon hub app status vs home assistant and the Insteon is right but home assistant is wrong. So this makes me think home assistant didn’t get the info from the hub. Is there a way to make home assistant look
For the status or have Insteon push out a couple few more updates on the status?
I still have this issue. Does anyone know how to have home assistant pull a status from my iolink for my garage opener. I would like it to check a couple times a day to make sure ha has the right status. Once in a while I have this issue with some lights too but I don’t notice as much.
