Just starting out with NFC tags to take advantage of the new functionality.
For my Pixel 3 running Android 11, I am able to create/scan tags etc., but scanning requires an additional input (confirmation) to open links. Not the end of the world, but not as smooth as it could be.
Has anyone had success getting links to open in the background on the latest version of Android?
Are you Verizon by any chance?

i honestly dont know if this issue can be fixed if verizon is adding this change simply by inserting the SIM card…i think verizon users need to bug verizon to get them to remove this from a pixel device that is meant to be googles experience and not verizons experience.
