Open Thread Border Router Crashes

Hi. I’m pretty new to HA. I have HA on a mini pc running HAOS by itself. I am trying to use a Sonoff Dongle Max for my Thread radio over ethernet. It has been working fine until the past couple of days. Now, OTBR will let me start it, but then it errors out after about 5 minutes. Let’s say for a second it isn’t ridiculous to try and use an ethernet connection here. Yes, I’ve seen the warning. What could’ve happened and can I fix it? Here’s some of the log. I don’t know what any of it means, so I hope what you need is in there. I bolded the parts that were in red.

Did you power cycle the remote device? I had a SLZB-MR1U go into something similar after the last HA update, and it required a power cycle of that system to correct, for reasons unclear.

I run two OTBR’s over ethernet, one with the software on HA, one on a raspberry pi, both are (otherwise) rock solid.

Yes, I believe I’ve done that twice since this started. One of the times, I unplugged it to switch it to POE (just another thing I was intending to do). Good to hear that you are having a good experience. Makes mine all the more puzzling though.

Well… I was just trying stuff, and I changed the address of the Network Device from dongle-m.local to the numbers, and it seems to be working now.

Weirdly though, when I look at Thread settings, it shows the HA border router, but when I look at the map, it’s not on there. The map looks the same as when I would look at it when the HA border router was down. Any idea why?

Where did you change this as I am having the same problem, do you just mean you used the IP in the browser to open the Sonoff dongle app ?
