After fighting with it for an hour I finally figured out how to get OZWCP to open. Now I have a problem where it is showing “Node Count 0” and I do not see the Fibaro sensor I am testing with. The sensor is added to the Zwave network and showing up in HA, but I would like to use OZWCP for some additional control of the device. I have used the correct “/dev/ttyACM1” and initialized, but no go.
I’m completely new to this but from what I’ve noticed if the HASS zwave component is running, OZWCP can’t access it. I’ve found I have to comment out my zwave component in HASS and then re-launch OZWCP.
Funnily enough Im trying to configure a Fibaro sensor too…
FWIW:
Ensuring that HASS isn’t running (crossing the streams would be very bad), run the control panel
Looks like I was right!
Wow, thank you. I looked all over the place and even in his github and completely overlooked that
Getting the Open ZWave Control Panel running in Home Assistant (without Hassio) is really a mess. Is it possible to make it a top priority for next versions of HA? I know it will be difficult, but Domoticz has it for year, and even though might be easier for them to do so, since Domoticz is written in C++, the way HA handle ZWave is really bellow expectation. I have a dead node I cannot remove in the UI, would take 2 seconds in OZWCP.
