OpenBorder Router not beeing found by Pixel smartphone

Hello HA community,

I am pretty new to HA and all these things. But when I stumbled upon some of the IKEA Smart Home devices in my last visit to IKEA. I decided to buy a remote (Bilresa), two Smart Plugs (Grillplats) and a door sensor (Myggbett). I knew I had a raspberry Pi 5 with 4gb of Ram lying aroung from an project I finished. So I watched some videos and decided to buy a ZBT-2 Connect for Thread. (Right now I am not planing on using Zigbee for the moment).
I used the Raspberry Pi Imager to flash HA to an SD-Card for my testing if I want to use it longterm I would switch to an SSD over sata or nvme for reliability.

Startet the RPi with HA OS, create account from Windows PC, create Home, add Philips Hue Hub (works fine from HA WebUi and App), plug ZBT-2 in an USB 2.0 Port, install Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2, say I want to create a Thread Network, install HA App on my Pixel 10 and then tried to add the Bilresa remote to HA. But then it fails with the Message: Your Device needs a Thread-Border-Router. So I start looking into it.

I checked if everything is installed and if the Matter App / OTBR App are running which they do.
Installed: OpenThread-Boarder-Router, Matter, Thread, Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2, Philips Hue

So first I check the logs of the OTBR and Matter. (I threw them to ChatGPT for a first look)
I found no substatial errors.

So then I check if the Thread network. In the Matter App, the Thread network is listet.

Then I checked the Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2 Device. There I noticed a message in the Activity Tab
(Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2 ("Serialnumber hidden") Firmware turned off)

I think that means that there is no firmware update to be done.
I even tried to turn on Beta-Firmware-Updates.

Then I check the OTBR Logs again and no substantial errors to be found except one red errormessage:
2026-05-31 13:00:06.473 (Dummy-2) CHIP_ERROR [chip.native.DIS] Failed to advertise records: src/inet/UDPEndPointImplSockets.cpp:417: OS Error 0x02000065: Network is unreachable
But after a quick Google search, it seems its not that problematic.

I activated the WebUi's for OTBR and Matter to check if everything is working. In the OTBR WebUi I can see the Network Name and that the WPAN service is associated. So no obvious problems there.

I look into the Matter WebUI which tells me a lot of nothing, only that it is a Python Matter Server and that I can import nodes or Commission node. In the Commission node tab I can only "Commision existing device", Commission new Thread device or Commission new Wifi device is greyed out.

I already tried a lot. I used a powerd USB Hub in the Display that is temporarly attached to the Rpi for troubleshooting.
So the Rpi only needs to power itself which it should be able to do. I also tried it directly attached to the Rpi. Nothing changed.
I can see that the Rpi has an ipv6 assiged to iteself at the screen that is connected.

When I scan the QR-Code for the connection while no battery is in the device. It stops at the step "looking for device" in the UI on my Pixel. When I then insert the battery it goes from looking for device to "Trying to connect to device" but then it loads for a while and gives me this "no Thread-Boarder-Router found".

I am using a fritzbox 7490.

In the HA App under Preferred network the "Used for Android + iOS credentials" is greyed out.

In the Matter App / OTBR App I left everything stock except the port things for the WebUI.

I am a new user in this forum and cant add more that 1 picture to my topic. But if there is something that is needed, I hopefully can uploade it in my answers.

I am at a loss on what to do next.

In the HA companion app do the following.

Open settings.
Open companion app.
Open troubleshooting.
Click sync Thread credentials.
