Hi everybody,
I just bought the OpenTherm Shield from DIYless, flashed it, installed it, and integrated it into Home Assistant.
While it works in general, it seems to randomly change, and I don’t understand this. My “dumb” thermostat let me set different schedules, temperature for hot water, and temperature for heating.
My heating system is from Brötje, by the way.
I installed it exactly like this. (except names and temperature range, see screenshot at the bottom)
Below are screenshots of everything made available in HA by this procedure. It seems like I can only set temperature, which I assume is supposed to be room temperature? I cannot set boiler temperature or hot water temperature.
Also, as you can see from these screenshots, there seem to be random changes in those settings that I cannot control. My radiators will stay cold at certain times where the set value is too low. When I notice this, I can fix by setting the controllable temperature to a value above the measured temperature (or so I think).
But this cannot be the solution. I guess I could automate this as well, but still - doesn’t feel like it is working as expected.
Any of you use this and can help me configure it? Thank you in advance for your help
(last screenshot of code is only because I changed the names to fit my naming pattern rather than the example; all other parameters are just as in the example file)
