Is there any supported way to get a custom Openwakeword into the VoicePE satellites?

Micro wake word model allows that


model (Optional, string): This can be one of:
A simple name of a model that exists in the official ESPHome Models repository. e.g. okay_nabu.

A github shorthand URL to a model JSON file. e.g. github://esphome/micro-wake-word-models/models/okay_nabu.json@main.

A full URL to a model JSON file. e.g. https://github.com/esphome/micro-wake-word-models/raw/main/models/okay_nabu.json.

For this to be possible I have to:

  • take over the HAVPE
  • add the microwakeword segment to the existing YAML
  • save

that is all, right? Am I missing something?

Yes. Takeover and add what’s needed

just documenting for everyone else: You can’t convert the openwakeword to microwakeword. You have to train a new file yourself.
