I have been having major problems with my Pi3 B+ installation running on a USB SSD. Error logs were not particularly helpful, in particular updates were almost impossible to install, various add-ons would just stop running and so on. Only a shutdown and start from cold would fix this. I followed the first post on this thread https://community.home-assistant.io/t/how-to-increase-the-swap-file-size-on-home-assistant-os/272226 and using a swap file size of 2Gb I’ve run continuously for the last 2 weeks, nothing has stopped working, updates just install without issue etc. Is there any reason why this can’t be standard?
