Option to Edit Webpage dashboard URL

We got a new feature this release, “Webpage dashboard”. But after creating, it is not possible to see the URL, or edit this later.

I suggest adding the possibility to see and edit this url.

It is possible already.
Open the webpage dashboard and you will find the edit button on the upper right corner

There you can view/edit the URL

I have the latest version of HA and this doesn’t exist as far as I can tell.

So you don’t see the “Edit dashboard” image button?

Can you share a screenshot of your webpage dashboard?

Same here. I have the Edit dashboard button. If I press it, the dashboard goes to edit mode where I can adapt the widgets and layout. But no option to find URL, at last none I can find.

Hi Guys,

as far as I can see:

a) it is possible to change the dashboard-name
b) the dashboard url stays as it was when you first created that dashboard
(compare the url in the following screenshot with the shown dashboard name as an example)

Dont like that as well. Seems I would have to generate a new dashboard with the desired name/url and move everything from the first dashboard to the new one. Then delete the old dashboard ?!

best regards
Sammy

Agreed, I started my HA instance with a dashboard that I called Whole Home - now that is forever it’s URL, but since I have changed to use this to function as the dashboard specialized to be viewed on a tablet/computer, and have a second dashboard designed to display best on a phone, whish I could change the URL to match the purpose of the page (as well as some of the sub pages that are just named as 0 or 5 or something).

It seems to me that when developing any webpage or dashboard, we optimize our flow as we create, and the flow changes and it seems impossible to plan a layout that will remain indefinitely when the use and function of the page changes over time to optimize the UI/Flow.

You can do it by editing files under /config/.storage/lovelace_dashboards

Note, these files are not visible by default and are excluded with gitignore.

You can open the folder in VSCode (File → Open Folder)

Example of changes (you can just change the URL):
