I want to start a discussion. As we all know things happen computers break servers go down hardware just stops working. What redundancies or backup measures have you done to recover in case of worst case scenarios.
What spurred this on was I recently have lost my home assistant server and everything. Lightning struck a power pole up the street and fried my server. Strangely enough it didn’t destroy my TV or anything else cuz my house is on a whole home search protector. But for some reason my server that was in the garage got affected. I’m slowly rebuilding and I loaded a backup. But I’m just interested in what others have done to help/prevent/remidy this situation. TIA
