Orisec Alarm Integration

Has anyone had a go integrating with these?

It looks as though they have Control4 and Crestron RS232 modules you can buy, not sure if that is something that can be read?

Did you manage to integrate this?

No I spoke with Orisec, they said they don’t do anything like this.

I was wondering about buying a PoE ESP32 board and wiring the 10 Orisec outputs into it. There’s talk of a PoE board here I saw - LILYGO TTGO T-Internet-POE ESP32-WROOM LAN8270A - #20 by bremby

Bit of a faff was to have to do it though.

Looks like somebody had a go - GitHub - nmc888/Orisec2MQTT: A Node-RED flow for Home Assistant, integrating Orisec alarm panel zone states via MQTT.

I talked to an alarm engineer the other day as our system is pyronix at the moment which (apparently) is difficult to interface with and they suggested that we upgrade the board to Orisic. I said that I wanted an interface board to control/monitor via home assistant and he gave me this:

I’m assuming that this is the basis for the GitHub work above…it would be good to see some traction here @biggaz did you progress this at all?

I ended up buying a PoE LilyGo board, with the intention of wiring physical outputs from the alarm into that. Looks like it would need pull up resistors wiring in to drop the outputs from 12v to 5v. Then it turns out the inputs on the LilyGo board need soldering on they just came lose.
All in all, a massive pain in the arse, and I haven’t been that bothered to try and make it work.
