I was playing with OwnTracks and I think I managed to get a zone/region added to Home Assistant that I cannot get rid of. I have a zone.jason_cellphone_test that I THINK was imported from OwnTracks. I’ve removed that integration but it’s still showing up Read Only in the UI and I can’t edit it. Home Assistant actually tells me it was implemented in configuration.yaml, but it’s not in there. Uninstalled OwnTracks from my cell, too, and that didn’t help.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I’ve already checked that. I think there must be a bug in Home Assistant that says to check there, but nothing was there.
The icon from the zone says “mdi:import” so I think that’s a sign that it was from OwnTracks.
Hey, I am dealing with the exact same issue involving owntracks.
A test region was created in owntracks, but after removing it I noticed the zone was created in homeassistant and is not editable
It is not present within the configuration.yaml file as the error suggests to look in. I suspect it’s present somewhere else internally. If I discover a fix, I will let you know. I am digging through internal files for orphaned zone.
Edit:
Apologies, so I don’t know how the issue solved itself but after running a few reboots the region disappeared as well. I am still interested in determining the cause of the issue to begin with.
I’ve just done exactly the same thing. At the time of writing it’s still there. I’ve deleted it in Owntracks yet it still appears there. Needless to say [Ed. so why you saying it?!] it’s still there in HA. I’m assuming eventually they’ll get synchronised and the region will disappear.
I have this same problem. I found this post on Reddit about how to prevent OwnTracks regions showing up in HA. Unfortunately now though, I have this zone in HA, which I can’t get rid of…
