OS upgrade needed?

Good morning,

I’m just started with Home Assistant and have to say that I really like it!
Installation went smooth and all runs perfectly fine.
I only have the following question.
I saw that there are frequently updates available, are they only Home Assistant related or do they also contain Arch Linux updates.

If not, can I do this with the terminal and is it safe to update/upgrade the Arch Linux OS?

My Home Assistant is running on a Pi 4 and is installed with the following method:

I wrote the image file with balenaEtcher (https://github.com/home-assistant/operating-system/releases/download/9.4/haos_rpi4-64-9.4.img.xz)

Boot the Pi with SD and Home Assistant was running.
