I have a bunch of Osram Lightify bulbs currently paired and working with Wink. However, they’ve never been very stable and I’m constantly having to re-pair or fix bulbs. I’m working towards removing Wink from my setup and having everything run locally with HASS.IO. I have a HUBUZB-1 and have paired 3 of the lights while I’ve been experimenting, but it hasn’t exactly been stable.
All that being said, I have a Lightify gateway in the closet. Would I be better pairing all of my bulbs to the gateway and using the Lightify component or are there stability problems with Osram in general?
I should also note, I’m in the US, so these are the Osram/Sylvania US version.
I have a few Osram Lightify bulbs that I am using the Lightify gateway. I later added the HUBUZB-1 to my system but never moved the Lightify lights over to it. The gateway has been rock solid on my system except for one annoying item. On the rare occasion that we lose electric when the power comes back all the Lightify bulbs are on. Fairly sure this has nothing to do with HA. I just need to figure out if there is a way around that.
So I dusted it off and paired the light strip that the HUBUZB lost control of. The gateway went through a pretty long update, etc… surprisingly the bulb seemed to already have the latest firmware.
I didn’t remember the Lightify Gateway having a cloud component? Was that recently added? I was looking to replace Wink with HASS to get my lights local and out of the cloud.
