[OT] Proxmox server not showing IP in UniFi Controller

Can someone suggest why I have a device which doesn’t always show as having an IP on the Controller? In fact sometimes it doesn’t even appear in the list of clients at all even though it is on line.

I know it is on-line, not just because I am using, it but also the device is a Proxmox Server which is hosting the UniFi Controller itself.

As you can see, the uptime is being reported as less than thw UniFi Controller which can’t be true!

The UniFi Controller runs in a container on Proxmox which currently has just one other VM server which always appears as it should, it is just the Proxmox server that behaves strangely. Both servers are DHCP at the USG but have a static IP set in the client.

Any hints gratefully accepted.

@klogg - Did you ever get this working? I am having the issue where i cannot even see my proxmox server itself (in the controller device client list), but i can see the port it is plugged into when i inspect the ports on the controller device software, as well as seeing all the vm hosted on the proxmox server within the client list on the software…

No I didn’t. It comes and goes from the list of clients but everything works ok so I am ignoring it…
