Outdoor Flood Lights or Just outdoor motion Sensors Recommendation

Hello,

First post and just started working with HA, after Insteon went belly up ….

I was able to basically replace insteon cloud with HA and so far Im very happy.

I do have a need to replace a outdoor flood lights or just the motion sensor for my existing lights

Few questions:

Can I use lets say Hue outdoor motion sensor to trigger an insteon switch to go on?

Can I do multistep automation, where lets say hue outdoor sensor detects motion, turns on insteon switch(s) and sends an email with snapshot from a dahue camera ? Or something to this effect?

What are the recommendations for HA and outdoor flood lights with motion sensors or just outdoor motion sensors ? (I do have a hue v2 hub just in case its asked)

Yes. As long as both devices (hue motion sensor and Insteon switch) are connected to HomeAssistant, they can be used in the same automation.
For Multistep automations, just add additional actions to the automation. For sending a snapshot to an email, see if there’s a Blueprint for that to make it easier.
I don’t have any recommendations for an outdoor motion sensor. That’s actually how I found this thread.
