Overkiz and Tahoma by Somfy

Until a few days ago I was successfully using the Overkiz integration to access my Somfy Tahoma Hub and thereby control a bunch of blinds. This was using a cloud account on Somfy North America, also accessible through a phone app called “Tahoma”.

A few days ago, Overkiz stopped working: I was apparently logged out of the cloud account, and attempts to log in through Overkiz would fail. Trying my Tahoma phone app, I was told that it was now obsolete, and that I had to download a different app called “Tahoma by Somfy” and use it to request that my cloud account be moved to that app.

After I did that I was able to regain control of my blinds using that new phone app. However, I am still unable to use Overkiz, as it does not appear to be aware that Somfy North America accounts have been transferred somewhere else.

Any suggestions?

Are you able to leverage the local API / developer mode? If you run the latest HA beta, it should work again.

Hi Mick,

Thanks for your suggestion. I used to run in cloud mode, but I see on the Somfy web site, as well as in my Somfy by Tahoma phone app, that the developer mode is already activated on my account.

I am currently using core 2025.4.4 on OS 15.2. I have deleted my non working version of Overkiz. When I try to reinstall Overkiz, the list of available servers includes my old one (Somfy North America) but not the new server, it seems.

Should I understand that in the latest HA beta, the new server will be available? Can you please let me known how I can obtain and install this HA beta (sorry but I am not an HA expert at this time)?

Many thanks,

Pierre

Update: I found the way to get beta updates, I am now in the process of updating to 2025.5.0b0. Will then see if from there I can get Overkiz to work in local mode.

Update: looks like it is working, now!
