Have to add: Home Assistant Community doing a great job. It’s not their fault that Somfys API isn’t working as you would expect.
@tetienne Congratulations on your Somfy component being accepted into HA and becoming official. I am looking to purchase new motorized blinds very soon, and of course want to integrate these with Home Assistant. I was thinking Somfy-equipped blinds by Graber would be my choice, but all these reports of poor API dependability are rather discouraging. I believe I should address my concerns to the Graber representative who contacts me for the sale. They should hate to lose the sales revenue due to poor API availability.
You can talk indeed to your sale contact. I did the same with mine. I don’t know if it will help, but at least they are aware.
If you are looking to installed new blind, try too see if you can have wired Somfy IO blind. You will still be able to use the Tahoma and later add a zwave module behind the switch like this one.
That’s funny, on this page I can see the 3 applications I have (one for my production HA, 2 for testing), but if I click on the Create button, I got an error 500 with the now-famous message.

The local sales representative called Thursday evening, and knew nothing about the Somfy API or their web/cloud. I submitted an e-mail directly to the manufacturer asking for technical support.
Did you get this fixed? Im struggling with the same issue
Same issue here! Send them an email!
Edit: its working now!
Did you changed anything ?
Do you have the “api” section on your account page ?
Do you remember in which order did you configured everything ?
It’s still not working here. Same problem as @CedricGatay , …
@tetienne : Somfys DevSupport contact form is not available anymore:
https://developer.somfy.com/contact
What a coincidence…
No i didn’t changed anything…
First i created the app as described in the documentation, when i tried to authorize the app it gave me the same error as you guys have. A couple of hours later i tried it from my mobile phone and it worked.
Sometimes it gives an error in the log that it can’t update the somfy component, but it seems to work for now.
still not working here either…
Hmm the only difference was that I was not on the same network as my HA and on a different device, but I can’t imagine that would solve this issue…
Hi there,
I have a Connexoon gateway with some IO blinds. I created yesterday evening the application on the Somfy Dev portal and I’m running into the same problem as the others, an error on Somfy site when trying to grant rights to the application while enabling Somfy integration (redirection from Hass.io to Somfy account site).

What can I try to solve this issue? I tried from my mobile, same results. I emailed the support but I doubt they will help in the end
Cheers,
G.
A few days ago I had the same issue and after trying everything, the thing that eventually out of the blue worked was using a local ip address app (non HTTPS), double check if the redirect_url matches the configured URL in the Somfy App. Nothing else you can do really I think but wait and retry now and then.
After getting that to work I could control my IO devices, but now again out of the blue the Somfy Integration can’t find my devices no more…
Really frustrating experience.
I will give it another try tonight. For now, it looks like my Raspberry Pi does not answer anymore
Sure, stop working before weekend and chilling. API is empty again.
Still doesn’t work for me either… Lou Lavorel, the dev at somfy, should be back from holidays. Maybe shooting yet another email could help? Personally I’ve given up and got back to the unofficial Tahoma api through the Tahoma component. I’ve been playing around with it to add elements such as temperature sensors or somfy’s smart lock. It’s far from perfect but at least it does the job…
Hi Vincent,
How do I can use the unofficial Tahoma API? I have a Connexoon device (wondering if it’s something that can prevent me from having it working).
I will contact Lou Lavorel early September and we will see…
Cheers,
G.
Hey, I’m just using this component instead of the somfy one. It’s less clean because it doesn’t use the official somfy api as @tetienne’s does, but their api has never worked for me…
Hey, Same here, I sent an email three days ago to the support. Meanwhile, I am using the unofficial APIs with the Tahoma component.
