Overkiz API and Somfy API

I would also be interested in this information. If you have instructions for this I think they’d be useful posted publicly somewhere.

Does anyone know if the Velux KLF 200 actually supports also the Sunea 50 io motors used in awnings ?

I just want to have local access to the somfy io-homecontrol motors used in awnings, one way or the other.

I would be happy to use the tahoma box if it would finally provide local api support for the awnings, but apparently there has been no news in this area. I remember reading some Somfy’s own blog post (from 2018) about support for the apple homekit, but I quess that hasn’t progressed at all.

I hope I am in the right place to ask this…

I have the Somfy integration (Configuration -> Integration -> Somfy) and simply click on the “Yes” button all setup. I see my Connexoon and all my ‘covers’/blinds. They also work if I control them from HA. So far so good.

However, every 24 hours I get the “token expired” error in my log and nothing works anymore. It seems the token refresh is not working correctly. I am wondering what I need to do to fix this (assuming it is a local problem as no one here is having this problem afaik)?

Hi,

About the token expired error, there was recently several fix. They will be probably available with the next release.

Hi Tetienne,
excellent, I was mistaken btw, it seems the blinds can still move, I incorrectly assumed they wouldn’t.

Let’s hope the fix becomes available soon!

Keep up the good work!

Bonjour tetienne,

I am now receiving an error 404 in the logs,

Logger: homeassistant.components.somfy
Source: components/somfy/__init__.py:182
Integration: Somfy (documentation, issues)
First occurred: 3:31:15 PM (1 occurrences)
Last logged: 3:31:15 PM
Cannot update devices: 404

I tried removing and re-adding the integration a few times. My Somfy account is still working, and I can operate my blinds throught the Somfy App for Connexoon.
Any idea what could be wrong?

Seems that there is a problem with the API starting today, I’m also getting 404 now and I see the blinds not moving. I’ll have a look to the logs as well

Call-service API error. Error Message: 404 Client Error: Not Found for url: https://api.somfy.com/api/v1/device/*

This issue is logged here: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/42526

Sadly, I just tried myself on the Somfy dev site, and I got the same error…

From the Somfy support, they have fix the issue. I’m now well able to retrieve my devices.

Hi,

I cannot get the tahoma integration to login - ‘key:common::config_flow::error::invalid_auth’ error. I have a connexoon RTS with 1 blind which works in the mobile app. If I try the official somfy integration, it installs successfully but I do not have any devices. I believe this is because I am in Australia and it is unsupported.

I removed that integration and tried the HACs installed tahoma integration, and I cannot get the login to work. I see a few people saying they can just use their somfy username password, but this does not work for me.

Can someone confirm, it should work?

When I turn debug on for this custom component, I see nothing in the logs, so it seems that my username password are just invalid - but I can successfully log into somfy.com, developer.somfy.com, etc.

(in case it helps, my config contain:

logger:
  default: warning
  logs:
    custom_components.tahoma: debug

and only tahoma related log message:

$grep tahoma home-assistant.log
2020-11-21 10:53:36 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.loader] You are using a custom integration for tahoma which has not been tested by Home Assistant. This component might cause stability problems, be sure to disable it if you experience issues with Home Assistant.

Hello to all. I’m one of the Somfy victims since i was forced to buy the TaHoma device.
If someone could help i would appreciate any kind of help. 4 yeras now the TaHoma device is sold from 299-349 around Greece. I managed to get one for 209 (BlackFriday offer). Not only the interface is awful, slow and reminds me an app 10 years it is slow (laggy) and the BIGGEST problem is that does not work without internet. So much info (address + personal info to activate the damn device) to Somfy.

The device shows latest version of software 4-4-20 something like. Is there ANY. Any way to manage the rollers (indoor and outdoor) by installing another software on the TaHoma device ?

I decided to buy because i already knew bout the SomfyPi alternative and i also had the knowledge to build it. But i thought to gave 209 euros instead of 120-130 to build a 4th Gen device.

Could someone help please ?

@Somfy if you read - people you are completely stupid with this device. Slow and we cannot use it without internet. Plus you forbidden us (i mean the consumers) to have our expensive router acting as a hub.

I would be interested in having further information about klf200 and somfy motors. Thanks.

I have, and do not use the klf200, it will mixed up your remote controllers, and it has only up to five slots for 5 motors and thats it.

5 slots for wired motors.

well I dont know, I think I will go for Tahoma Hub and thats it. The gguy representative of Somfy for my country said to me that klf200 is a controler for io motors but not “primary” controller, he suggested to me that I sell this one klf200 and buy tahoma…

Question please. Can i use MyLink locally ? I mean if the Internet connection fails can i use my phone to control to the RTS devices ? Like i m doing with all the other stuff i bought (ledstrips, lamps etc). If i bring 1-2 MyLink devices from the States do you know if i will able to control the devices locally without internet ? Voltage is not a problem.

I bought the TaHoma device here in Greece (Europe) on BlackFriday sale 209 Euros and the only thing i can say is TOTAL disappointment. Extremely poor interface gives the impression that you are using 10 year old system. But the biggest problem is when the internet connection goes down you cannot control within the apartment the RTS devices. Such a fail. For Gods sake why the French did that ? They need urgently to release a new firmware or something otherwise the TaHoma is a total fail if you can’t use it in local mode.

Somfy does not provide any local API, and yes it sucks. But perhaps tomorrow it will change. They will release finally the HomeKit support and this last required a local communication. So you will be able to use the homekit controller component to manipulate your covers (only).
And if you have only RTS covers, look at this forum or use a search engine. Their is some solutions to control them locally doing some DIY stuff.

First i would like to thank you for your time and your response.
I have the knowledge to build the Rapsberry. But insted of paying 120-130 euros for a full raspberry 4 kit i bought the original genuine stuff from Somfy which sucks from any point of view. Ancient device.
I don’t really care bout Homekit or a specific app. The Somfy app is ok for now but with local support.
Maybe they must release i USB WiFi dongle like the Zigbee one they have.
I just wondering WHY the h@ll you cannot control the device locally. So many brands integrated.
I hope they read this because the competition is very serious. They integrate in the Tahoma tons of other brands and appliances BUT IT IS completely useless if you can’t control them from your couch. It was so hard to put a BT LE or a WiFi device to control it locally. I really don’t get it.
The lag is also awful.

Fibaro Smart Home 3 from Geyer is way better but costs also 5 times and my rollers are already RTS. If i had them wired i would change the switches with Legrand because you can control through WiFi. Another MAJOR fault is that you cannot control the percentage of the rollers. Either top, down or my position. The interface really sucks. So many years and no improvement.

Somfy just released their HomeKit version  HA discovers it automatically

Personnaly, I’m still waiting for the ios Tahoma update to get the HomeKit pairing code.

We are really close from a local API

Edit: :frowning: Somfy does not provide a paring code, so it’s still not possible to use the Homekit controller integration to control the Somfy device…

Their FAQ document suggests the HomeKit pairing code is available in the iOS app, but on the new version I couldn’t find it.

I assume people with a new Tahoma hub will have this pairing code on the device itself.

I’ve used my iPad as a home hub and successfully set up the Tahoma hub as a bridge in the Home iOS app, however none of my blinds are showing as devices.

Have raised a support ticket and will ask about the pairing code too.

My main hope is this new integration will support specific blind positions and the “My” position. The Somfy API only supports open/close for me.
