Overkiz stopped working with Somfy blinds

A few days ago, as i woke up, i noticed HA could no longer control my blinds. Everything was working fine the previous night, nothing happened in between.

These are Somfy blinds connected through a Tahoma Switch, linked to HA with the Overkiz integration.

I can still operate them through their remote, so the blinds work just fine.
I can control them remotely (not on local wifi) with Somfy’s android app, so the Tahoma Switch is good as well and connected properly to Somfy’s server.

I tried restarting the nas on which the HA container is installed, restarting the container itself, restarting HA, restarting the Tahoma Switch.

When i delete and reinstall the Overkiz integration is when things get weird to me. HA detects my system and offers by itself to install the Overkiz integration. It then installs fine, lists all my blinds after i enter my Somfy credentials so it looks like it connects to Somfy’s server, BUT - if in the meantime i change, directly on the Tahoma app, the name of one of the blinds, this doesn’t reflect in HA; when i reinstall Overkiz, it lists all my blinds with their old names. So maybe it doesn’t actually connect and just use something it has in cache?

Does anyone have any idea how to go from there?

I’ve got the same issue.

since around the end of last week also?

Yes, but I’m not sure about the exact time it has happened.

Does anyone else here use Overkiz with Somfy blinds connected through a Tahoma switch?

Anyone has an idea on how to clear that cache when deleting the Overkiz integration?

I still don’t know what causes this problem, but I managed to use pyoverkiz to control my blinds from python. I believe it’s not on the Somfy’s side then. What version of HA core do you use?

I believe this is due to an old version of pyoverkiz, in my HA environment, i’ve installed version 1.3.9. When I use it to control my blinds from another machine, it doesn’t work too, whereas with current version (1.7.9) it does work. Looks like a time for an update of HA, I guess.

Truth is, I am actually more of a Smartthings guy. I use HA only for a coupe automations that I can’t do in Smartthings, so I never really felt the need to dig deep in its inner workings.

But now that you mention it, yeah, i never even wondered about HA updates, but from what i can see on the Info section of the system settings, i’m on version core-2022.2.9.
And when trying to check for updates on the Configuration page, it tells me it can’t do that because i would need to be running HA OS, whereas i run it from a docker container on my synology nas. And i have no idea if that means i need to update the container, and if yes - how.

Well…
like i said, i never even thought HA had to be updated manually. And if I had, i’d have thought that would be too much of a hassle. But it was actually very easy and quick. I am now on 2023.5.4 - and my blinds work again!!!
