Owntracks http android

Hi all

I am trying to setup owntracks http on my HA instance and I have an android device. I am told that the owntracks app is no longer in use on android and I have to use gps logger.

My question is:

Can I use own tracks http with gps logger on my android device?

I use duckdns for my HA therefore I have https and not http, I have tried setting up gps logger but its asking for http and does not work. Has anyone managed to set it up correctly with https?

Thanks.

I use https:// in my gps logger under the ‘Log to custom URL’.

@Corey_Johnson thanks for the reply.
Can you please provide a guide on how to use https on the custom url? Thanks.

mine is:

https://xxx.xxx.xxx:XXXX/api/gpslogger?api_password=XXXX&latitude=%LAT&longitude=%LON&battery=%BATT&device=xxxxxxxx&accuracy=%ACC

where xxx.xxx.xxx:XXXX is the www for my HA instance with port
where XXXX is the password to my HA instance
where xxxxxxxx is the device ID from my Android phone (for me it was my wireless MAC ID without all the colons).

Thanks working now.

How have you set your settings to enhance battery life? Do you mind sharing your settings please?

I set it up from the listed component, just followed the instructions. I do not recall needing to modify anything.
