Owntracks Setup Issue for Presence Detection

I am setting up owntracks using this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UieAQ8sC6GY

I follow it correctly until 2:50 seconds into the video where you are supposed to push information to HA.

After I do this, the owntracks app shows an error:

“java.net.SocketTimeoutException: failed to connect to xxx.duckdns.org/xx.xx.xxx.xxx (port 8123) from/xxx.xxx.x.xxx (port 48380) after 15000ms”

Also, HA does not write a known_devices file or show it in the integrations panel.

Any help is appreciated.

I figured it out for anyone with a similar issue:

The URL given during the integration process through HA includes the port 8123 in the URL. If you are forwarding to 443 it will not work. When pasting it into the Owntracks app, delete :8123, and it should work.
