Im using Z-wave JS for my fibaro sensors and also a zwave.me usb stick
I was striggeling with the fibaro updating firmware, what still not worked .
Now i want to pair it in may system again but it cannot find it anymore , every time ““time out””
At Zwave JS i press on Add Device, and set also the fibaro in pairing mode . it is searching
am i doing something wrong . is my fibaro damaged ( i did already a factory reset at fibaro)
Are you using secure or insecure inclusion? I Prefer insecure. And what distance is the device to the controller? Are you sure you are having full batteries (if applicable) and are using the right inclusion procedure?
What happens if you “exclude” the device? Even if it is not included currently it should exclude (reset) if you exclude it via zwavejs. The reinclude using legacy.
This device is an fibaro motion sensor FGMS-001, it worked for several years at HA. but i had some issues with it, so i try to update the firmware. could not do it, so had to go the a local installer of fibaro . But without succes, he had connect it to a HC2 gateway device of fibaro
So i had to reset the fibaro motion sensor and hopped i could include with same node ID
But that is normally not possible thing… When pairing it gets a new number node iD
Press configure in your screenshot and there you should be able to put the controller in exclusion mode (exclude). If the device was not properly resetted (your motion sensor) you can force via exclude device (actually any zwave controller can do so) to exclude a device from a zwave network and reset. The device itself actually does not need to be part of the actual zwave network, it will exclude anyway.
So to be clear, do not remove the integration and/or addon, but only a device from the zwave network. Even if that device was not part of the zwave network.
Now the other part. You start the thread with a question you cannot pair it with zwavejs. But screenshots and text (another node id) say it does include…?
Not sure what your actual question/problem now is left…?
Edit: any device removed/added will alway get the next available node id. You cannot control that (afaik). If you pass 256 devices I beleive it will roll to the next available node id starting at 2 and up. But I think 128 is even the max supported devices for the stick (not sure about that)
Edit2: press configure in you last screenshot and there you can add and remove devices. Add using the big blue button down right, remove the hyperlink (don’t ask).
at this menu , there are only parameters to be set , like timing led color etc. no option for “exclude””
if im correct , i can only select in my case “removed failed device” ( the zwave motion sensor)
is that the way ?..
This motion sesnor was before node ID 10, after try to update firmware it was resetted. so i have to pair it again ( it will get a new node ID, normally ) But pairing results always in timeout …
ok i wil try removing the device as shown above in the last screen shot
yes my screenshots looks like it is already included. but that is not the case. i have in total 3x other zwave motion sensors, and one of them is really not active/ connected anymore. I removed it for my home, to a local installer to try updating it . i did not remove it from my HA network. So the node is still in my network, but not connected anymore to the motion sensor
