Pairing Aqara T2 and T1M with ZBT-1 dongle (without Aqara hub)

Hi all,

HA noob here. Like, supernoob. I just received yesterday the hardware which I plan to use to improve my home, namely:

  1. HA green
  2. ZBT-1 dongle
  3. Aqara H1 double rocker
  4. 3 Aqara T2 CCT bulbs
  5. Aqara T1M ceiling light

I feel absolutely overwhelmed by the fact that I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I’m setting the bulbs in pairing mode (2-3 soft pulses, then briefly switches off, then immediately turn on and sticks like that), with no success.
I’m in the device detection screen, but absolutely nothing happens. It gives a timeout, and still nothing. When i set the H1 switch in pairing mode, it popped almost instantly in the found devices section.

Would anybody please be so kind and help a brother out?

Which Zigbee integration are you using? ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT?

ZHA, but I found the issue AFTER A WEEK :joy: apparently i was supposed to connect to the bulbs first and switch them from thread (as they come out of the box) to zigbee. Now all is good
