Panasonic Aquarea temperature sensor

I have added my heat pump to HA and see that I need an additional temperature sensor. Does anyone know if this is a standard 2 wire PT100 or PT1000? I don’t have access to the heat pump now to test.

Hi hhb,

It could be interesting to tell us what it he role of the extra temperature sensor and where it should be placed. It will be also interesting to put a printscreen or a link to the installation manual. It will be easier to find the correct information. Sometimes, options differ from models inside the same range (Aquarea in your case)

If found some basic information here
https://www.panasonic.com/content/dam/Panasonic/HVAC/Catalogue/PDF/NZ/Panasonic_Brochure_Aquarea%20Air%20to%20Water_2025%20.pdf

And a wiring schematic here (at page 12)

Nowadays, PT1000 are more often use for better precision (the length of the wiring disturbs less the measure). The reference given by Panasonic (PAW-A2W-TSBU) comes with a 20m wire!

By doing some search, I found this post.
https://myenergi.info/pt1000-temperature-probe-signal-to-two-outputs-t8273.html#p76366

It seems that a PT1000 is used.

Edit: It was an assumption of the OP (Original Poster) of the blog. After several searches, I did not find any information. It could be PT100, PT1000 or ever a PTC or a NTC…

Without finding someont that has their sensor PAW-A2W-TSBU to do some measurements on it, it will be hard to find an equivalent.

Best regards.

Hi hapasse,
Thanks for replying. I see I should have been more spesific in my request. It is for a buffer tank and I have the CZ-NS4P expansion card. The card and all the information I have found only refer to the Panasonic part numbers.

However, I have found this which indicates that the sensors are PT1000.

I probably have to wait until I can access the heat pump and test.
