Pause/Disable Sensor while host device/PC is offline

Hey guys, not sure if this is possible or not, but I’m unable to find anything remotely close to what I’m looking for.

Basically, I have a few components (SabNZB, Transmission & Sonarr) on my PC and all works fine. When I put my PC to sleep at night, the logs in Home Assistant fill up with unable to connect to host errors or offline errors every few minutes.

What I want is for a way to have the sensor pause or disable when the PC is offline.

Something like this could also be used with device trackers to enable/disable a sensor if a device is home/away etc…

Any thoughts on this?

Does anyone have any idea?

I have the same problem, have anyone found a solution?

Same here with the qnap integration.
Any hints?
Have you ever solved that?

Thx

Nope. I just gave up. Also, I move a lot from my PC to a server that is on 24/7, so that has stopped a lot of the error logs.

ok, thx.
Currently i am going the other way → green.
Previously my server and NAS was running 24/7 but with the high energy prices i am now putting them in standby then nobody uses them

Anyway, i have ditched the qnap integration all together because i dont need the infos in HA.
