Hey guys I’m not sure when this changed but I’m having trouble setting home screens per device. I use home assistant on different devices and my desktop and I use different home screens on each of those devices. I used to be able to just open it up and that home screen was there but now I realize I’ve been struggling resetting it over and over because it never stays the way it was set for that device. It appears that it is being set for my user account which I do not want across multiple devices. How do I get this to work? I can’t seem to find dashboard settings per device.
according to the release notes there is no longer any per device settings for the dashboard. it’s now all per user.
so if you want different dashboard settings on a device you need to create a user for that specific device and set the dashboard for that user.
I’m one person with multiple devices for different purposes.
Where are these release notes?
Yeah, I didn’t mean to imply it was ideal. Just that is the way it is now.
there’s also much talk about it in the december release thread (among other places) on the forum.
Thank you for this. Needless to say this is kinda rocking my world right now. I’m actually going to need to be two users on our system or create a dashboard just with links to other dashboards. It seems like a complete waste of time. I’ll read up on it and thank you for your help.

In my case per device use was more functional.
Probably not for many then.
