Performance issue with editing sections

Hello, I created a conditional dashboard using quite alot of sections (about 50) in one view that are switched on/off by conditions using helpers.
I do experience performance issues when editing this dashboard:

  • drag & drop of sections only works once (mostly) and only by one row above or below.
  • editing tiles in sections only works once (mostly). After that the edit window closes itself shortly after opening.
  • leaving the edit mode and reactivating it enables the editing again.

I use Chrome in its latest version. I cleared the cache. HA in 2024.10.1, HOS 13.1

I am on HA 2024.12.1 on HOS 14 now and I still experience major perfomance issues on editing my dashboard.
Mostly I can only do one change. Thereafter I have to leave edit mode and reenter it.

I had the same issue and the thing that helped a lot (it is still a bit sluggish on large dashboards) is uninstalling card_mod

Thank you! That is bad news, as I do use card-mod to colorize the background of the tiles to make their status visible from a distance.
