Periodic Heart rate from Android Wear?

Is there an Android Wear (AW) app + Home Assistant (HA) component that can track heart rate (HR) values from Android wear devices that have a heart rate sensor?
There are now many AW apps that can periodically measure HR and log the values into Google Fit.

(These drain a lot of battery on my phone because it seems that data collection is driven by the phone via bluetooth.)

With Android wear 2, It seems possible to make an AW app that is independent of the phone and periodically (say every 5 min) measures HR on the watch and stores/aggregates them locally on the watch and at transmits the values to HA from time to time (to optimize watch’s battery).

At some point, there was a Fitbit component in HA with similar goals. However, it could never get my HR values. There is an open feature request about Garmin Connect. But based on many reports, Garmin charges $5K for access to the Garmin connect API and usually does not partner with “small companies”.
Android wear seems to be the only platform where this HR/HA setup seems feasible.

Good question, I’m looking for it too. Did u find some one?

how frequently are you expecting updates?

heart rate sensor has been added to the wear OS app
