Settings for the ACE editor in HASS Configurator won’t save and I can’t seem to work out why.
In HASS Configurator pressing CMD+, opens the settings panel, where I can enable Live Autocompletion and change the theme used by HASS Configurator / ACE Editor. However, when I open a new tab for HASS Configurator the settings I’ve changed aren’t restored. And there doesn’t appear to be any sort of ‘Save settings’ button.
Am I missing something?
EDIT: Some settings can be saved using the ‘Three dot fly out menu>Editor Settings’ but there’s not option to enable ‘Live Autocomplete’ in that panel. This is the main option I want to enable and have persist across sessions.
Only settings in the custom settings menu are available to store. Back then when we did the integration the auto complete didn’t work really well, and I haven’t checked if any of the updates have improved the situation. And it doesn’t even let me enable the auto complete in the CMD+, menu.
Thanks for the clarification. After a little digging I found the following which might be helpful to others:
CTRL+Space Bar: Brings up the auto complete quick menu.
Seems to be possible to permanently turn on the Live Autocomplete by, first going to the Custom Settings menu, click the save button at the bottom of the page. It’ll say the settings have been saved. Then go into the ACE settings by pressing, CTRL+, and activate the Live Autocomplete. Go back into the Custom Settings menu and again press the save button. For me this seems to keep the Live Autocomplete on permanently. However this wont work across browsers/clients.
Guys, for some reason I cannot save the settings of the ACE Editor (v 1.4.8). No matter what I set up, next time when I log in to HA, it will revert back to the original settings. Did somebody else experience this?
