Persistent notifications when the config check fails?

Yes, this subject has been mentioned already, but…

Specifically, please stop the persistent notifications, they are really annoying.
Why can’t the notification message be displayed on the page like critical errors are?

Current work flow is:

Press ‘Check Configuration’
Wait for the green ‘pass’ message
Look for any new notifications (i.e. remember what number was in the little red circle before you pressed ‘Check Configuration’)
Open the notification
Click the link to check the error

correct the error

Reopen the notification so that it can be dismissed
.
.
.
REPEAT

And as a small aside, the wording on that page is now so obtuse and contextually inconsistent. Whilst I accept that it was slightly inaccurate before the recent change it was better than it is now! (IMO)

You can create an automation that dismisses those messages for you. I rarely run config check but if you post the created persistent notification entity, I can help you create the automation.

Yes but I don’t want it dismissed until I’ve opened it and read it.
Is there an event to trigger when that has happened?

Not sure, haven’t looked for something like that
