PGST Security System Alarm Integration

The various PGST Wireless Security Systems are popular, inexpensive, and reliable. I recently retired an older wireless system (no HA support) and installed the PG108. It replaced a Fortress S03 console and it recognized all of my existing sensors - door/window, motion, smoke, FOBS all using 433mhz so I didn’t have to replace any of those. I got the 108 with two FOBS, one door/window and one motion on AMZ for $45. It is recognized by Tula Smart App (and you will need that to install it on your local network) but you will be using Tula Local for HA integration. After some research I figured out how to get the Alarm trigger added to an Automation to turn on lights and an outside siren hard wired to a 12vdc power cube plugged into a TP-Link smart outet.

You must install HACS and then install Tuya Local. Tuya Local should recognize and auto install a PGST 105, 107, 108, or 109 Console - it found my 108 straight away by entering it’s local IP address (after installing it using Tuya Smart).

Once Tuya Local has added your console as a device, create an Automation and select Entity: Alarm security system Alarm then select From: Any State To: Any State. This is a supported event when interacting with the Security System Console from Tuya Local (not available in the standard Tuya Integration).

When the Security System alarms it triggers the event and will process your automation actions.

Hope this helps others looking for the ‘easy button’ to add a PGST Security System.
