So I have a couple of Philips Hue devices integrated with HA through Smartthings already (bulbs and light strips). Just got my hands on a “Play light bar” and for the life of me can’t figure out how to connect it to Home Assistant. Does anyone have an experience with this particular device? I really want to avoid buying Philips Hub just for it, Smartthings has been a decent hub already.

I did lol… it was very stupid. The power cable wasn’t plugged all the way in…

Yep. I was able to find the bar in Smarthings like all the other devices I have and it was pipe into HA through Smarthings integration.

But is Smartthings needed? I guess Play Bar can we connected directly to Home Assistant without a Hue hub?
I am not sure if that’s possible. I have all my zigbee devices go through smarthings since my HA doesn’t have zigbee adapter.
Ah, yeah that is right but I do have a Zigbee adapter so then I assume it is fine.
