Philips Hue Wall Module Issue with IKEA GU10 Bulbs

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with my Philips Hue Wall Module, and I believe it might be related to my IKEA GU10 bulbs. Here’s the setup and the problem:

I have three IKEA GU10 bulbs grouped together, but the issue occurs whether I control them as a group or individually. When I connect the Hue Wall Module to a standard switch, the bulbs can be switched on and off without any problems using the physical switch.

However, if I turn the lights off via the Home Assistant app or HomeKit, I can’t turn them back on again using the Wall Module. The only way to get the GU10 bulbs to respond again is to cut the power and restore it.

Interestingly, this behavior does not occur with other lights or Zigbee devices. For example:
• The Hue Wall Module works perfectly with my Philips Hue ceiling light.
• It also works flawlessly with other IKEA Zigbee devices, such as the Trådfri 10W Driver.

My question is:
• Is there a specific setting for the IKEA GU10 bulbs that might explain this behavior?
• Has anyone experienced something similar or found a solution to this?

Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I am experiencing exactly the same issue with:

  • IKEA TRADFRI bulb GU10, color/white spectrum, 345/380 lm - LED1923R5 (firmware version 1.0.38)
  • IKEA TRADFRI bulb E14, color/white spectrum, globe, opal, 806 lm - LED2111G6 (firmware version: 1.0.38)

I am using Zigbee2MQTT (version 1.42.0-2). I assume you are using ZHA?

No, I’m also using Z2M.
