PHin smart pool monitor

Sound nice but at $349 and $99/yr, not my thing.

I do believe someone else may like so posting here for your pleasure

I bought one, and so far I love it. At the beginning of the pool season, everyone is good about testing their chemical levels. Usually August is when keeping the chemicals balanced becomes a chore and as soon as you slip up, then the algae blooms happen. It is nice to be able to be notified early when chemical balance gets out of whack. Has anyone made an integration yet? At the minimum, it would be nice to see water temperature and that everything is good. Even better if we can get alerts through homeassistant. I did find this page about API’s if someone is interested in writing an integration.

I’m horrible at keeping up but supprisingly it stays balanced enough that I have blue water year round(no seasons here)

I am more curious about how all other ph testers need probe replace yearly but this not mention it?
Does this unit require some type of maintenance?
What does $99 actually include(just service)?

How long you owning this unit?

The battery and ph probe are not replaceable, and so they send you a new one for free when it stops working. I suppose that is what the $99 after the first year is mostly for. Getting a pool service was more than $99 a month for me, so this seems to work out pretty well.

I have only had it a month, but my plaster is brand new so the pH kept rising quickly. This helped me ensure that I stayed on top of it.

hey guys - also need a phin connection - anyone got any ideas?

Still don’t… I would love it right now just to get the pool Temps so that I can have my pump kick on prior to freezing
