Pi zero with WiFi just released!

Get them whilst you can! https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/raspberry-pi-zero-w-joins-family/

This can run Home assistant?

Sure I guess why not  Anybody can confirm?

as i read only pi 3 work with HA…

I try with PI 2 and she stuck and not run.

I have HA running on a Pi1 at the minute, runs perfect.

I’ve just bought a Pi Zero W, hopefully be here in a day or two.

The Hassbian image is probably Pi3-specific, but you can install Home Assistant on pretty much anything capable to run Python.

I’m running HASS on a Raspberry 1 generation and works fine even with mysql as database

I was running HASS on the first RPi Zero. It was somewhat slow at times, but it certainly worked.

Current hassbian installs fine on pi2

Im thinking this would make for a nice video door bell option… anyone else got any cool pi zero w/wifi project ideas?

Il make a couple of sensor nodes with the particular focus on leak detection
