can you tell me what you mean by auto shutdown ?
When power goes down, force a nice system shutdown before UPS shuts down
you mean you want Synology NAS to shutdwn before UPS shuts down correct ?

If the UPS is attached to the NAS, you could enable the NUT service (Settings > Hardware & Power) then in HA, configure the NUT integration. Then create an automation in HA to shutdown the RPi based on the NUT sensors such as time remaining or battery level percentage. Of course that’s assuming you’re running HA on the RPi this PoE adapter will be connected to.

that great if your UPS from APC and you want to use PowerChute Business Edition in your PC to manage the UPS connect to Synology use this:

Yes you need use it in same network
I was a bit curious, so did the test on my local Syno +Pi. Very straight forward, a few clicks and it work!.
