I have this weird behavior.
In lovelace it works fine, in the companion app not.
Lovelace has a blue icon when light is off:
In companion app the light is “gone” when off… however if I click on the area it does work!

In the app? I don’t have that option there
If I open lovelace via mobile browser all is fine. It is really only in the app not displayed…
is android system webview up to date on your device? check the app theme too there could be a conflict there
Yes everything is updated.
No special theme settings.
Both on pc and app theme is always dark.
I reinstalled the home assistant companion app and now it is working…
