Picture in Picture device

I’m wanting a solution where if I press a quick action button, someone rings the doorbell, etc. that it triggers picture in picture if I’m watching the TV. My TV does not support picture in picture as far as I know.

It can be a single HDMI input as long as it can consume an RTSP stream for the PIP, but ideally it could display a webpage, second HDMI input, RTSP, etc. to give a bit more flexibility.

When watching movies it needs to support 4K HDR @60hz.

The other big requirement is that is support HA so I can trigger it.

I’ve seen PIP set top boxes but nothing that fits this bill. I wondered if it is something a Pi might do (Probably underpowered) or a mini PC, but running what software?

This seems like a fairly obvious problem, but I’ve struggled to find a solution.

Have a look at Lindy HDMI switches. Some of these support pip but not sure if they are 4k

thanks. these look like others I’ve seen. I dont see how I could trigger via HA.
could I get some sort of IR blaster and get HA to trigger that perhaps?

I’ve not tried it but that should be a possibility
