Pilips hue 2 way communcation

Hi,

Last week I’ve ordered some MiLight lamps, but later I realized they do not support 2-way communication. When you switch on the light with the miglight remote, HA doesn’t get a signal. So they tend to get out of sync.

Now I’m looking to Philips Hue, with the bridge 2.0 and the philips hue tab and maybe some wall dimmers. Does HA get informed of a state change when I swith on the lights with the tab, or even when I use the philips app on my phone? Is it fully 2-way?

Thanks,

Danny

Yes, Ha gets the states from Hue lights.

We’ve been starting to add this information to Home Assistant. Actually Hue and MiLight already have this in their sidebar:
home-assistant.io/components/light.hue/
home-assistant.io/components/li … itlessled/

Hello Balloon. So if I get you correctly MiLights will also get their states read from the bridge? And that option is already available in the Lights component but needs to be worked in in next HA release. Correct?
